Errands 9/7/16

I didn’t get a chance to completely have freedom playing Pokemon GO today. However, while running a couple of errands for my family I managed to hatch 3 eggs and catch a new higher levelled eevee. Still no sight of a Dratini though :/

The Second? Adventure 7/6/16

Later on into the day, after the loooong first trek, my friend, Rob, invited me to go into town. The night before I had told him how to get the app and we were going to go hunting for Pokemon. Shortly after arriving and meeting him he reached level 5. I convinced him to join me in team mystic and we were ready to go.

We went up along the seaside finding more gyms and spots as well as discussing what we thought of the game so far. After a while we stopped to get some food, which was conveniently next to a gym. So we sat and chilled out for a bit talking more about our Pokemon GO experiences. This however, is the moment panic hit. The first unwanted occurrence. I accidentally managed to trade away my Kingler which left me in a bad mood.Another bad experience almost happened straight after as we both stopped at the top of a hill to catch Magmars and whilst not paying attention Rob managed to let his longboard start rolling backwards down the hill behind him. Luckily he got to it in time.

We decided to just keep walking and obtaining gyms until we found a gym someone else had caught. When I checked to see what Pokemon I would have to battle I checked the users name. Without knowing it I had been taking gyms back from another one of my friends who I didn’t know had the game. I also evolved the Drowzee into a Hypno finally.

We caught a ton of different Pokemon of much higher levels than we were expecting and then we head into town to ‘hang out for a bit’ sadly my phone died so the rest of the time I spent out had nothing to do with Pokemon GO. By this point I had reached level 10.

At around midnight I walked up to the nearby train station to meet my friend, Jack, we only stayed around for half an hour or so but we worked out how to use the lure item on a point which was a success i suppose. He had been up in London for the day and was the friend I took the Gyms off of. It is likely we will team up to catch some Pokemon int he future but he is on the other team so I am keeping my distance.

The First Adventure 7/6/16

The longest walk; I am dead

This day kind of blurs in with the last one as I didn’t sleep. Subsequently this day starts off really early. It started to get slightly brighter at 3am which is when i set off on my ‘adventure’. The plan was to scout out a nearby gym; level up to level 5; capture the gym and then come home. It didn’t go entirely to plan. Initially I evolved to get a Kakuna and Raticate and then went on the search.

I walked for half an hour before a single gym came into view, at points I considering just going home as I thought there to be no gyms in my area, and by this point I had already reached my goal of Level 5.¬†Upon reaching level 5 more types of Pokemon started to appear. I caught a Jynx which was my first Pokemon to have over 100cp when I caught it. I put this Jynx in the gym and I had achieved my goal. I had obtained the first gym in my county! (This isn’t a huge deal as only 4 player shad the game in my county at the time but I was happy).

By this point I was 2/3 of the way to the nearby town so I decided to head there in search of item drops rather than head home. On the journey towards the town I caught a variety of new Pokemon including: Slowpoke; Krabby; Psyduck; Meowth and Paras as well as a Raticate (this time without evolving it). As I approached the town Item drops and Gyms were all I saw for what seemed to be miles. I was happy I didn’t head back early to say the least.

I walked through town for alot longer than I should have. I captured about 10 gyms for team mystic as no one had been near them yet. The town was filled with Drowzee upon Drowzee and by the end I had almost enough candy to evolve them into a Hypno. I activated all the spots at least twice and ended up on the other side of the town harbour without noticing and continuing down the path I had reached the fort on the coast which I had no plans to go ANYWHERE near. Not to complain there were gyms there. I was over 4.5 miles away from my house at this point however, and decided it was probably time to head home.

On the way back I found a Kingler that was over 400cp that I named ‘Kingle Bells’ but more on this later.
